Seriousing. P2A 3 Weeks
Okay... self, lets reboot a second.
Stare hard at that picture above. That's 60lbs of progression. Look at that fat (*&%# on the left. Then look at that smarmy mofo on the right.
The best part is that you actually weigh less then the guy on the right now, but you're getting soft. You got a summer of racing to go, and you're halfassing workouts, and you're using weekends to eat yourself into comas basing it on the fact you diet hard all week. Not acceptable.
Obviously I cannot leave you to your own vices. You have a 60KM race in 3 weeks. You're being a bitch about riding outside, even though you do, its what I would refer to as "riding like a pussy". Yes your bike has been delayed by parts, but that's no excuse to be a whiny bitch... its just an excuse not to ride.
Yes spin class sucks. You haven't done that in 2 weeks either. You're out and about but you're not offsetting your weekend intake. And as such, you are getting soft when you were getting pretty dead hard.
How you going to feel when you do get that absurdly expensive bike and you can barely do one 10K sprint on it?
Winter's over. You have daylight now, and you're being a bitch. Stop it. 60KM is not a joke, and you will be spinning your ass off. I suggest you remember what riding a bike is like by actually doing it.

P2A 1 Month Away
Daylight savings time comes and saves my ass finally. God I don't think I can do spin anymore. Its just... its just what it is. You don't move, there's no balance, and hills are simulated by clamping down on resistance.. while fine and dandy, nothing like real biking. Its cold out, and I'll probably skip biking tonight, but tomorrow baby. I'm going to go do some hill intervals... right before that, I'm going to go just smell the mud and forest. I miss that so much so bad. Tell you what I don't miss though... The over cologne'd turds that show up, mark a bike preventing others from using them, then putting in a half assed workout leaving 20 minutes in while talking to friends.
Just me, the forest, my bike, and my own workout regime that I've actually yearned for all winter.
P2A is a month away. I'm stuck at 259 lbs. I need to push hard this month to get into my 240s. I've slacked off the last couple of days giving myself a rest from the gym for 2 reasons. I'm getting mentally burned out in spin, and I can't stand NOT MOVING when I should be doing something that ultimately is moving me around.
I've decided against the Super-D racing this summer. I'm going to go check it out one weekend and see what its about, I don't think sprinting on my Norco will work out as well as I think. Do a test run or so, and make a decision. I've been told to try out triathlons as they're apparently addicting. So what like 2 more bikes? I'm sure the wife will love that discussion :D.
God its supposed to be 16'C this Friday.. good luck getting me back inside once this becomes the norm.
1 Month, 10lbs, lots of base training and hill climbing. P2A then the Toronto Marathon, then Opus 8h, and Summer Solstice... bring on the heat and humidity baby, I welcome both with open arms.
